Who We Are:
The Knights of Columbus is the world’s largest Catholic mens fraternal service organization. Reverend Michael J. McGivney founded K of C in 1882 in New Haven, Connecticut. It is named in honor of Christopher Columbus and our organization’s patron is Our Lady of Guadalupe.
Our Commitment:
All Knights of Columbus are dedicated to the common ideals of Columbianism: Charity, Unity, Fraternity, andPatriotism.
Our Council:
We are Father Roach Council #3217
What We Do:
We provide charitable services, actively defend Catholicism, and promote Catholic education. Saint John Paul II referred to the order as the “strong right arm of the Church” for their support of the Catholic Church.
Time & Training:
Our Council meets once a month. Men interested in joining the Knights of Columbus Council #3217 are asked to first contact the current Grand Knight.
Requirements:
- Membership is open to all adult men, 18 years & older
- Must be in good standing with the Catholic Church
Helpful Attributes:
Men who are interested in providing charitable services, who have the desire to defend the Catholic faith, and who promote Catholic education are invited to join.
