WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO HAVE A MASS "OFFERED" FOR SOMEONE?
An individual may ask a priest to offer a Mass for several reasons: for example, in thanksgiving, for the intentions of another person (such as on a birthday), or, as is most common, for the repose of the soul of someone who has died.
One must never forget the infinite graces that flow from the Sacrifice of the Mass, which benefit one’s soul.
MASS INTENTION REQUESTS ARE DONE IN THE PARISH OFFICE. Monday to Thursday from 9am-4pm (closed for lunch 12-1pm).
Please, go to the office to ask for a Mass intention. An offering of $5 or more is suggested for the priest celebrating the Mass.
If the day you wish is no longer available, in that case, our staff can send your Mass intention and your offering to the Archdiocesan Chancellor for him to send it to a priest who does not have Mass intentions.
If someone else has already requested the Mass intention for your desired day and time, in that case, you can call the church office to notify the Pastor to include him in his personal intentions at Mass.
