The Via Matris is complementary to the Via Crucis. There are Seven Sorrows of Mary. Each Sorrow is contemplated in prayerful reflection by the faithful as a Station of the Via Matris.
You will find the Seven Stations at the back of the church, opposite the fourteen Stations of the Cross. You can pray the Via Crucis and then the Via Matris. Also, in the gift shop, you will find Novena booklets, which contain the Via Matris within them, and Seven Sorrows rosaries.
The Memorial of Our Lady of Sorrows is on September 15, one day after our Titular Feast Day, the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross.
